A few caveats re the above:
1) This is a discussion between three people who have been steeped in Big Navy for their entire careers. The jargon comes thick and fast.
2) Minesweeping in the modern U.S. Navy has been handed off to the woeful Littoral Combat Ships, which means both these practitioners are tied into the LCS program pretty deeply. They are a smidge butthurt about how the world doesn't respect it.
3) If you are looking for a podcast about how the U.S. Navy is a terrible institution, a conversation between a defense industry trade journalist and two retired senior officers is not gonna be that
